Adult Day Service Benefits

Health Care Services
Health care is a vital part of the adult day service and included in the daily base service rate:
  • Nursing supervision of health problems
  • Liaison with personal physician
  • Health and wellness education
  • Monthly nursing assessments
  • Medication assistance

Companionship
Fellowship with peers is crucial for adults who are vulnerable to social isolation. Breath of Life Adult Day Service provides an atmosphere of care and companionship. Time is spent between adults who share similar interests and life experiences.


Nutrition
A tasty, nutritious meal is served family-style each noon. Healthy snacks are also provided. Special dietary needs can be accommodated in consultation with our Registered Dietician.

Security
Caregivers can be assured their loved one is spending the day in a safe, secure surrounding with experienced, attentive staff.

Respite
Many people are faced with the dual responsibilities of managing their own lives and meeting the daily demands of a family member with special needs.

Breath of Life Adult Day Service gives families and other caregivers a break from full-time care so they can maintain their own physical and emotional well-being.


Recreation
Breath of Life clients are encouraged to participate in a broad array of activities including crafts, baking, gardening, exercise classes, discussion groups, chapel services, social gatherings and games.


Intergenerational Philosophy
Breath of Life’s philosophy is to enhance the quality of a dependent adult’s life, adding fun and fulfillment to the lives of the participants through a variety of inter-generational activities.

Breath of Life provides a special environment to help adults and their families maintain intergenerational and community connections.


Hours of Operations
7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Monday through Friday

Fees
Financial assistance may be available through long term care insurance, VA, community service contracts, Minnesota waivered programs, or private pay. Contact our director for further information.

Transportation
You may provide your own or you may use or convenient alternate transportation services. Public transportation is also available. Call or visit for a personal consultation.
